Bringing Color to Graduation Day
When Palmetto Ridge High School was preparing for their 2026 graduation ceremony, something was missing — color. The stage lacked the warmth and beauty that a milestone moment like graduation deserves.
Island Home Service and Lush Life Gardens stepped in with a donation of two stunning Bougainvillea plants, delivered just in time for the ceremony. Planting Seeds for the Next Generation
When Temple Judea Preschool came to Lush Life Gardens with a simple dream — a garden where their youngest students could plant, grow, and one day taste the fruits of their work — we didn’t hesitate.
Lush Life Gardens donated a handful of guava trees to the preschool’s garden program, giving these kids something real to nurture. Something they could watch grow. Something they could eventually eat.

Saving the Music: 100 Poinsettias, One Community
Every year, the music program at Cypress Lake High School sells poinsettias to fund their program. It’s more than a fundraiser — it’s a tradition that keeps their music alive.
This past holiday season, disaster struck. Their supplier raised prices at the last minute, blowing the budget completely out of the water. With the annual sale just days away, the program faced an impossible choice: cancel the fundraiser or find another way.
Island Home Service stepped in. We donated 100 poinsettias — vibrant, healthy plants that brought the sale back to life. The students got their plants. The tradition carried on. And the music program’s funding was saved.

When the opportunity came to support this beloved local tradition, Island Home Service didn’t hesitate. We curated and donated a thoughtfully designed “Sanibel Beach Basket” — tailored to capture the coastal atmosphere and island lifestyle that defines our community. Every item reflected the essence of what makes Sanibel special.
For us, contributing to local causes isn’t something we do occasionally. It’s part of who we are. When Sanibel thrives, we thrive. And we’re always ready to do our part.
Growing Young Minds: A Planting Presentation at Vine Christian Academy
When Vine Christian Academy dedicated a full week to exploring the world of plants — their importance, their benefits, and their role in our health and environment — they reached out to Island Home Service and Lush Life Gardens to help bring it to life.
We showed up with plants in hand and put on a hands-on presentation for the students: how to plant, why plants matter, what they do for our bodies and our planet, and which plants call Southwest Florida home. Kids got to touch and feel real plants, ask questions, and walk away with something special — their own seeds to take home and grow themselves.
That kind of curiosity is worth showing up for every time.
